We’re told in 2 Timothy 2:15 to study the Scriptures. This isn’t a suggestion—this is a command! It’s only by studying and getting God’s truth into our minds and hearts that we can be strong in Christ and use His Words as a sword to fight the enemy. When we know God and His Word and do what He says to do in our times of adversity instead of ignorantly caving to fear, the devil is defeated and flees, and God replaces our fears with His peace.
