Many people who turn from the world and accept Jesus as their Savior don’t realize that Jesus also becomes their Lord. According to the Merriam Dictionary, a lord is “someone or something having power, authority, or influence; a master or ruler.” When we were of this world, the devil was the authority, but as Christians, it’s Jesus who rules over us, and it’s Jesus to whom we submit. So, when we have needs, all we have to do is ask, and God will get them to us, one way or another because He loves us and is faithful. But when we don’t get what we expected, we have to accept that God Knows Best and that if we needed what we asked for, He would have given it to us. God is good.
