In Proverbs 17:22, King Solomon wrote, “A merry heart does good like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.” This sinful world is breaking the spirit of people, stealing their joy and peace as it races towards judgment. But as Christians, we CAN be at peace AND have a merry heart when we focus on Jesus and all He’s done for us AND is still doing. His strength in us is our joy, and it comes when we spend time in prayer and worship and study the Scriptures to know God and His promises to us. We rejoice because our faith is in Jesus, who’s coming soon to take us Home so we can be with Him forever!
