Sometimes, when we go through troubles in life, we get upset, even angry at God, because we think they shouldn’t happen to Christians. But God often allows them to happen to either teach us something or to draw us closer to Him. Every time we go to God for help, our relationship with Jesus gets stronger. He is our Lord, and He watches over us, but we need to learn to trust Him, and we can’t do that if life is always perfect for us. It’s these times of trouble when we turn to Jesus and make Him our refuge and our fortress that our faith and trust in Him grows.
