God said that we should always be joyful and thankful, and that’s easy to do when life is going great but not always when we’re in the middle of a bad situation. However, our rejoicing should never be based on our emotions or physical pleasures but on the fact that Jesus is our Savior and that we are now citizens of Heaven! Jesus said that we’ll have problems as long as we’re in this world, so why be thankful? Because Jesus is our Lord, and He will fight our battles for us when we call out His name and trust Him.
