The god of this world wants to crush the inspiration of all believers, so he works continually to steal God’s truth from us so we won’t trust Him, to kill our hope in Jesus so we will give up, and to destroy our faith in God’s words so we become weak. He’s able to do this when we focus more on what the world is doing than on God and what the Bible says. Philippians 4:8 tells us to meditate on things that are good, pure, lovely, and of a good report and Galatians 5:22 says we need to let the fruits of the Spirit live through us—such as love, joy, faith, and peace. When we do this, our heart is filled with joy and we are at peace.
