When we are alone and face a trying situation, we can become nervous and gripped with fear in the apprehension of the outcome. But if we were to walk into that same situation with a mighty soldier at our side, we wouldn’t be afraid but rather, we’d feel safe and be at peace because we know the enemies around us would flee at his appearance. This is the peace that we get when we give our troubles to God and trust Him to bring us through them. God is good.
