When we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, He forgives us for all of our sins and fills us with His righteousness. He enables us to overcome this world and separates us from the wrath of God, which He is about to pour out upon this sinful world. John 3:16 says that Jesus provided salvation for everyone, but only those who accept it will overcome sin. When we realize that we are sinners, receive Jesus as our Savior, and know that Heaven is our eternal Home, we are overcomers!
