When we have a friend that we know well and love deeply, we want to spend time with them, and when we’re apart, we like to boast about our friendship. Regardless of their appearance or their inabilities or their ways, we are proud of them and not ashamed to call them our friend. There is someone who wants to be our friend, whose love for us is so great that He gave His own life to save ours. This friend is full of love and mercy, humility and patience, yet He radiates with truth and judgment, and He’ll never leave us alone to fight our own battles. His name is Jesus and I am not ashamed to call Him my Lord, my Savior, and my Friend!
