When unexpected and overwhelming situations hit us, it’s easy to let our emotions control our thoughts and actions. We focus on the problem, listen to what the world says, and take in the fear and doubt that the devil has so carefully planned. But we are children of God! When we accepted the salvation of Christ, He became our Lord, our Savior, our Protector, our Healer, our Provider, our Friend, and our King. He promised He’d never leave us and that if we ask Him for anything and believe it, He’d give it to us because nothing is impossible to God. We need to cast aside our emotions and put our faith and hope in Jesus because then we’ll see the valley of the shadow of death as just another obstacle on the path that leads us Home.
