Blessed Tuesday

Receiving Jesus as our Savior is the greatest decision we will ever make, but many new believers think that getting saved is all it takes to be a Christian. This crucial turning point is the beginning of our new life, but we need to study the Bible to know who Jesus is and who we are in Him so that we can develop a personal relationship with Him. To the people of the world, the Bible is a history book, but to believers, every word in it is food for our soul because God reveals the deep truth and hidden mysteries to us. God wants to inspire, encourage and teach us all about Himself and His plans for us, but He only reveals these things to those who love Him and want to know the truth and live in the truth. Then we’ll know that Jesus is not only our Savior, but our Lord who we follow and obey, and our King who we worship.

We won’t be ashamed to share His truth with others because as we grow in knowledge and wisdom, we will also grow in love for Him and faith in Him. His mission becomes ours and we will want to share the truth with others. We’ll be committed to Jesus, and with a happy heart we will follow Him and do His work on this earth, which is to preach the gospel, feed the hungry, pray for the sick, help those in need and visit the lonely. When we are rooted in Christ, we can be who God has called us to be and do what He has called us to do because our heart will be one with His.
