There is power in prayer when we know who God is and who we are in Him. God is our Heavenly Father and we are His children. Just as earthly children, we are to reverence and respect our Father, knowing that He is our Creator, and the epitome of love and peace, and knowledge and wisdom. He has told us to come to Him with all of our needs and desires and that He hears and answers our prayers. His Spirit lives in us, guides us and teaches us, but we are still His children, and we must always remember that if Jesus hadn’t come down and died for our sins, we would not be redeemed back to God; we would still be on the path to hell. When we know this truth in our heart, it’s easy to humble ourselves and worship Jesus, our Lord, Savior and King because God is good.
