Get Ready!

LOOK UPI have written several messages lately on the urgency of sharing the gospel with others, and it’s because I believe with all my heart that we are living in the last days of this world’s system. Jesus is about to rapture His beloved Home! He first came as our Savior and we’ve been living in His grace since then. However, the time of repentance and salvation is coming to an end because Jesus is getting ready to return as King and Judge. The world is heading for the Great Tribulation, for judgment, and we need to warn people to get ready to hear His call, or face God’s wrath!

Jesus could call us any day—any minute—and if we aren’t ready, we won’t hear His voice. And if our loved ones aren’t saved, they won’t even know He called. Unfortunately, our lives can become so busy with our jobs and our families that we just assume we’ll have tomorrow to catch up with things we can’t make time for today. What’s sad about that plan, though, is that there is no promise of tomorrow, and when it comes to salvation there is no time more convenient, more essential than right now!

  • Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him.—Hebrews 2:1-3

People who don’t know Jesus spend their lifetime trying to make living an awesome experience, and they have no idea what they are missing because they are merely existing in this sinful world. They don’t realize that life doesn’t begin until they receive Jesus as their Savior. That’s when their hearts will be free of sin and filled with God’s Spirit, and their eyes will open as God’s love flows through their veins.

AtonementEaster reminds us of how much God loves us! We fast on Friday as we mourn the death of Jesus and then we celebrate on Sunday in honor of His resurrection. Jesus is the promised Messiah! He came and gave His life for ours just as He promised He would in the Old Testament. His blood washed our sins away so that we would be pure in His righteousness before God. We have been redeemed and our hearts will forever sing out His praises! Not just at Easter, but every day and throughout eternity! But sadly, many people put off their salvation, and the truth of Christ’s death and resurrection is hidden because for now, the bunny must have its day.

  • And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.—Romans 12:2

As believers in Christ, we must keep watch and look at each day as the one that Jesus may call us Home, and so we can’t put off sharing the gospel until tomorrow because there may not be a tomorrow for any of us. Jesus tells us to preach the gospel to the lost now while it’s still day because He is getting ready to return to judge the world, and once He comes, the time to get saved will be over. Today is the only day we have to get saved or to help others get saved.

Just as God called Noah to build an ark so he and his family could escape God’s judgment, Jesus is going to descend to the clouds and call us to come up and join Him so we can escape the judgment that God is about to pour out onto this corrupt and sinful world. Once we are gone, this world is going to experience tribulation as never before and we won’t be here to help our loved ones get through it. Our time to bring them to Jesus for salvation will be over. This is why it is so urgent to do it today!

  • And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.—Luke 17:26-30

doorSo as God’s children, we need to seek God first and worry about our own desires later. We should rise every morning and ask God to live through us and to give us the wisdom and the strength and the words to encourage others and lead them to Christ. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all the family and friends who once refused to know Christ had changed and knew God and were filled with HIs spirit so that when Jesus calls, they’ll hear His voice and rise up to meet Him with us? Oh, to see Jesus, to look into the loving eyes of the ONE who saved us! What a glorious day that will be!

And this day could happened any time now, so let’s work while there is still Light. All the signs that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24 are happening right before our eyes. We will be caught up fast, as the twinkling of an eye, and it will be over. Many will be left behind, but we can make a difference today by praying and sharing the gospel as much as possible.

There is nothing in our life that should be more urgent than getting His salvation message out to the lost. We must warn them that judgment is coming and that today is the day of their salvation! We must be ready because Jesus is coming soon! 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

  • For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.—2 Corinthians 6:2
