Many pray and go to church, but are concerned about how to act and react the way a Christian should. Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 13:5 to examine ourselves—and only WE can test our hearts. If our words, actions, and thoughts don’t naturally line up with God’s, it could be because we haven’t yet committed our lives to Him. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, God puts His Spirit in us, and as we study the Bible, His love grows, and the fruits of His Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) come forth naturally in every circumstance. The closer we draw to the Lord, the more His love consumes our hearts, and we won’t have to “try” to act like a Christian; we’ll know we ARE a Christian.
