There are two kinds of fear. One is a reverence or respect for someone of authority, and the other is an emotion that scares us without reason—the one Satan uses to keep us in bondage. When we face uncertain situations or people, it’s easy to become afraid, but as Christians, we shouldn’t fear the unknown. We know Jesus goes before us and leads us in all ways, and when we focus on Him, fill our hearts and minds with God’s Word, and speak the Word boldly, we have the victory over fear because our hope and faith are in Jesus. We know God’s Word is authoritative and that the devil fears God, so we don’t fear the unknown; we rejoice in the Truth because the Truth has set us free!
