Many see the words in the Bible as being contradictory. They choose what to read and attribute it to their own desires rather than to God’s purpose. But we can’t understand the Bible or reach conclusions on our own. ONLY the Holy Spirit can teach us (John 16:13), and to receive God’s Spirit, we must accept Jesus as our Savior (Galatians 4:6). As we study the Bible to know God and His purpose for us, we grow in His knowledge and wisdom, and HIS will becomes our will. So, when God says He’ll give us anything if we believe, He’s not talking to carnal minds but to us, His children, whose will and desires are like His, and whose hearts are submissive to Jesus and His purpose.
