If we get up at night, we first reach for the light switch so we can see our way and not stumble in the darkness. In this evil world, if we want to survive and not suffer the consequences of the darkness, we must turn on the only Light that can shine through it—and this Light is Jesus. This world’s ways are misleading, hiding Truth behind desires and rebellion; it’s easy to get trapped in the darkness. But when we surrender to Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and follow Him by reading His Word and spending time in prayer and worship, He becomes our Light that shines in the darkness. We not only see our way clearly, but we shine brightly so others can see Jesus in us.
