Many acknowledge that God is real and assume they’ll go to Heaven when they die. But assuming is deceiving because God is Holy, Heaven is Holy, and we are all inherent sinners caused by Adam’s fall—and sin can’t get near Heaven. It’s ONLY when we accept that we are sinners, and that Jesus, God’s Son, is our Savior, who died on the cross to pardon our sins, and was raised from the dead to give us eternal life, that our sins are erased. Then, we are filled with His Righteousness, and THEN, we’ll go to Heaven and spend eternity with Him because there’s no sin to condemn us: we are His redeemed children.
