When problems come, many of us find a friend to discuss them with; others seek out professional help. But as Christians, these should not be our first point of contact or our primary resource. Jesus is our Lord, the One who gave His life to save ours, the One who watches over and cares for us, and our FIRST response should be to talk to Him, seek His help, and follow His instructions. We pray, thank Him for His love and care, and read our Bibles because God speaks to us through His Word. He will arrange our help, and it will be the perfect answer because God IS our refuge and strength, our present help in times of trouble.
