Many believe that accepting Jesus as their Savior is all that’s needed to be a Christian. But that acceptance is merely the beginning of our new life in Christ; now we must study the Bible to know Him and all that He accomplished on the cross for us, what He has prepared for us in the future, and what He expects of us today. The devil works hard to distract and destroy every believer, so we must be filled with God’s Word and have a close relationship with Jesus, or he WILL succeed. Jesus gave His life and defeated Satan on the cross to save us, so now the onus is on us to resist the devil by drawing close to God daily, speaking His Word, and giving Him praise!
