There’s a difference between knowing about Jesus and actually knowing Him. I may be fascinated by the perks and benefits of a certain career, but until I commit to it, become educated and skilled in it, I am merely a wannabe. It’s like that with Christianity. We may know ABOUT Jesus, but it’s not until we accept Him as our Savior that we become Christians because He fills us with His Spirit, and qualifies us through His righteousness. We want to know Him more, follow His ways, do His will, and show His love to others. We don’t have to work at it; it’s not a chore to obey Him. Our love and obedience to Christ come naturally through His Spirit, who binds us with our Lord forever.
