It takes an incredible love for Jesus to do what He did. He chose to leave His Holy and glorious place in Heaven to come to this sinful earth and become a lowly man born in a barn, so that He could grow up and be nailed to the cross for our sins. His crucifixion was no surprise; it was His plan! Jesus was pure and innocent of any sin, and so took on OUR sins and died for them, suffering the eternal punishment that we deserved. Can you imagine the burden He carried, knowing that in His 33rd year, He’d suffer a barbaric and tormenting death on our behalf so we could be free? This is the incredible love God has for each of us, and it’s ours for eternity when we accept Jesus as our Savior!
