This is a wonderful time of year as we sing and celebrate Christmas. Many acknowledge that it’s about the birth of Jesus, but most don’t really appreciate who He is or why He came. This isn’t just any baby born in a manager 2000 years ago; it’s the Son of God who came to earth to become a man so He could die for our sins in our place. His birth is not by chance or a last-minute thought: it’s prophesied throughout the Old Testament. Jesus is the gift from God that we receive in our hearts when, by faith, we believe that He IS our Savior. Jesus is a gift of love to us who believe!
