Some Christians claim to have been given prophetic words from God that include updated versions of His will. But we must be careful because not everything that glitters is gold. There’s only ONE place where God speaks to us—the Bible. John 1:14 says, “The Word [Jesus] became flesh and dwelt among us.” God never changes (Malachi 3:6), His Word never changes (Isaiah 40:8). Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He said in John 8:31-32 that if we abide in His Word, we are truly His disciples; we will know the truth and be kept free from deceptions. We follow Jesus, and His voice is the ONLY one we hear.
