No one likes being told they’re wrong. Yet, as Christians, the Lord has instructed us to tell the lost that they need to repent for their sins and follow Jesus. How can we do that without sounding judgmental and uncaring? We can follow the example of Charlie Kirk. He’d tell the person that he understood why they were in the mess they were in, and then he’d suggest a better way by telling them the good news of Christ’s salvation. And because he did it in love, many listened and changed. Harsh words often condemn and turn the lost away from God’s love, but kind words are like honey, sweet to the soul. When we show God’s love through our words of hope, they will be more at ease and willing to listen, and more likely to answer His call.
