Most of us would be fearful if we were lost and alone in the wilderness. But if we heard our father calling out to us in the distance, we’d be relieved and filled with hope. We’d follow His voice and be at peace and full of joy just knowing He’s there and has come to rescue us. It’s this way with Christians. We were lost and surrounded by evil until we accepted Christ’s rescue at the cross. God speaks to us through His Word, directing our paths and filling us with peace and hope. The Bible is not just another book; it’s our lifeline to God. It’s His voice speaking to us in the wilderness that will sustain us until we see Jesus coming to take us Home!
