With a heart of joy, a loving grandfather gave his precious grandchild a gift. I watched his joy turn into heartbreak when her mother tossed the gift into the cold rain amid the child’s cries. It hurt beyond words, and for the first time in my walk with Jesus, I had a glimpse of the hurt our Heavenly Father endures every time someone rejects His gift of love that cost His Son’s life! As Christians, we must keep our eyes on Jesus, continue to pray for the lost and share God’s love with them, despite the emotional hurt that comes from being rejected. And we continue, hoping that one day they will realize His love toward them and accept His precious gift of salvation.
