God does NOT hate people, but the world twists the words in the Bible to say it promotes hate. God created us in love and spent time with Adam and Eve in the garden because He loved them. But God is Holy, and when they sinned, they separated all people from God, which is why God hates sin! So Jesus came to earth, died on the cross for our sins, and took the punishment for them, redeeming us to our Father. The Old Testament recounts the fall of mankind and God’s hatred for sin, but the New Testament emphasizes God’s love for us and Christ’s victory OVER sin. And when we accept Jesus as our Savior, God’s love is manifested in us because God is love!
