Some problems are overwhelming, causing us to doubt any possible victory. And when our sword, the Bible, is not drawn, the devil keeps us in doubt. We must study our Bible and see how Jesus overcame the temptations and stresses Satan put on Him when He was in the wilderness, hungry, tired, and worn. Jesus quoted Scripture and set the devil running! So, for example, when a situation comes where we don’t have money to pay our bills, we don’t give in; we submit our needs to God, and quote Scripture such as Philippians 4:19 (God supplies all our needs), and John 14:13 (ask anything and I’ll do it), the devil will flee because he knows God’s Word rules!
