Contrary to what many want to believe, none of us is born good. Jesus clarifies this in Mark 10:18 when He says that no one is good except for God. Apostle Paul reaffirms in Romans 3:23 that we are all sinners because Adam brought sin into the world (Romans 5:12), giving each of us an inherent sinful nature, making us enemies of God, condemned because of our sin (v18). The good news is that Jesus came, took on our sins at the cross, and through His gift of life, made way for each one of us to be pardoned so we can receive forgiveness and be filled with HIS righteousness—and when we accept His gift, we are no longer enemies of God but children of God, saved by grace!
