Many people, even Christians, refer to Mother Nature as the god of the natural world. She is a blend of man-made gods, including those associated with the earth, moon, or stars, worshiped in many cultures as the creator of nature and author of disasters. But God is the Creator of the earth and everything in it—it belongs to Him and HE alone deserves the praise! God created its beauty and, for reasons we don’t always understand, allows natural disasters. We don’t idly credit false gods for the Lord’s work. Instead, we praise Him for HIS creation. “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!” (Psalm 150:6)
