The fear of the Lord isn’t walking on ice, worried that God will zap us dead if we upset Him. It’s having complete reverence and respect for Him as the Almighty God and Creator who has no beginning or end, who is our Righteous Judge, Savior, and Lord over all. He’s Omniscient (knows everything), Omnipresent (is everywhere), and Omnipotent (has unlimited power and authority). He’s warned us through the Bible of these evil days that precede Christ’s return, and has promised to take us Home before He pours His wrath upon all sin. God is to be reverenced: He is the author of the Bible, and His Word never fails.
