Prayer is an essential part of being a Christian because it’s our lifeline to God! This is how we talk to Him, tell Him our problems, wait on Him for our answers, and rejoice with Him for our victories. And the Lord speaks to us through the Scriptures, builds us up, gives us wisdom and direction, and gives us His divine peace. Just as our relationship with others is strengthened by our communication with them, so is our relationship made strong with the Lord. Our Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers, and He loves it when we take the time to talk to Him.
