Fear is a powerful emotion; it changes and destroys lives. The enemy uses it to control us, causing us to be afraid of someone or something, often without reason. But when Jesus is our Savior, and we study the Bible to be filled with God’s words of truth, Satan has no power over us because our confidence is in God. Studying daily keeps us reminded that Jesus defeated Satan at the cross and is Lord over us, so when unpleasant situations arise, we’re not afraid. We give them to God in prayer, and speak out the Scriptures to hear what God is telling us, and He floods us with His peace.
