A good father loves his children at all times. He teaches them God’s truth and blesses and disciplines them accordingly. He gives them enough slack to test the waters and is ready to rescue them when they get in too deep. His arms are always open, his heart always full of love, and his lips ready with praise and instruction. Our Heavenly Father is the best father of all; He knows our weaknesses, sees the temptation of sin in our hearts, and watches us fail Him, yet—He continues to love us, is ready to forgive us, and has prepared an eternal place for us with Him. And He asks for nothing in return but to accept His love and teach our children to do the same.
