Many people are afraid of the dark. And it’s not the darkness of night but of the sin, lies, and deception that surrounds them. Every day, this world falls deeper into sin that’s shrouded in lies and deception. Young people think it’s a great world, filled with rights and freedom, no longer controlled by morals and arbitrary rules, so they resist the fear through ignorance. Older ones remember what it was like just a few years ago, and know we’re sinking into an eerie darkness. But when we know Jesus, we’re not afraid because He walks with us, fills us with His love, and gives us a sound mind that knows He’s still in control.
