A relationship takes two. God speaks to us through His Word—the Bible—and we talk to Him through prayer. If we’re going to have a relationship with Jesus, we must study our Bibles to know Him and spend time in prayer to communicate with Him. We can praise Him, talk about our problems, tell Him how much we love Him, thank Him for His love and mercy, and seek His direction and wisdom. The more time we spend with God, the more we’ll pray according to His will and be able to believe Him for the answers. For Christians, prayer is not an option; it’s part of our lives.
