The day after Jesus rose from the grave, He began a 40-day tour. He visited many followers who loved Him and met His disciples in Galilee, as He’d said He would. What a fantastic time it was for the men to see that Jesus was who He claimed to be, to speak with Him, and eat with Him once again. Jesus told them that all authority had been given to Him and instructed them to wait for the infilling of His Holy Spirit, which He would send once He returned to Heaven. Then they were to go and preach the gospel to the lost. As Christians, this is also our mission. And we rise every day knowing that Jesus loves us and is with us, giving us a new opportunity to rejoice and be glad!
