Jesus taught the disciples on the Mount of Olives using many parables. Afterward, He visited Simon’s home where Mary anointed Him with oil, a symbolic gesture indicating His death and burial. This angered Judas, one of the disciples, who argued the oil could have been sold for money. He had no spiritual connection with Jesus, so he met secretly with the chief priests to make a deal with them; for 30 pieces of silver, he would give Jesus into their hands. Satan used Judas to kill Jesus, not realizing it was he who would be defeated.
