When Jesus was born, only a few knew who He was. But in the Far East, scholars known as “Wisemen” studied the Scriptures and knew their King had been born. Inspired by God, they followed the star to Bethlehem, arriving when Jesus was about two years old, living in a house with His parents. They presented Him with precious gifts: Gold, the most precious of gems because they recognized Him as their King; Frankincense, an incense burned in the temple as an offering to God because they knew He would give His life to save ours; and Myrrh, an ointment used to embalm bodies, signifying His death. They knew Jesus was THE King!
