To the world, Christmas is about celebrating family traditions with Santa, gifts, feasts, and a pretense of peace. But to Christians, it’s about rejoicing in the birth of Jesus, God’s Son, who came and fulfilled His promise to send a Savior. It’s about rejoicing in the salvation He gave to us on the cross and praising Him for our eternal life with Him. The world denies Jesus and says, “Happy Holidays,” but we are not ashamed to say, “Merry Christmas!” This is our opportunity to share God’s love with others and tell them that Christmas is about Christ, God’s precious gift to us.
