Many people treasure earthly things and don’t like sharing or giving them away. But as Christians, we want to give because God gave us the greatest gift, His Son, to save us from our sins. He filled us with His Spirit so we could take on Christ’s attitude of giving and sharing things with others, including His message of salvation with the lost. Earthly treasures become things to get us through this world, as our real treasures are now found in God’s gift to us. So, we give with cheerful hearts, bringing love and joy to those receiving them and glory and honor to God, who’s blessing them.
