Many Christians confuse the Appearance of Christ with the Second Coming of Christ. This evil world is about to see God’s wrath against sin (the Great Tribulation.) But before it begins, Jesus will appear to all believers and take us out of this world (the rapture) because God’s wrath is not for the church (1 Thessalonians 5:9). Seven years later, Jesus will physically return to rule as King—this is His Second Coming—and everyone on earth will see Him! Our blessed hope is that Jesus will soon call us out of this evil world to be with Him forever. We’re not waiting for His second coming because we won’t be here; we’ll already be WITH Jesus when He comes back!
