Believing in Jesus is the beginning of our Christian walk; He has work for us to do. Jesus is our Savior AND our Lord, and He told us to preach the gospel, feed the hungry, help the poor, and cater to the sick—these are all works for the Lord! We do them in faith, knowing that God is with us AND that we are obeying His instructions for us (James 2:20). The more we study the Bible and develop a relationship with Jesus, the stronger our faith in Him grows, and the more works we will do. And when we face Jesus, our hearts will flutter with joy as He smiles and calls us a faithful servant.
