Christian responses differ from those of worldly people. Mature Christians who study the Bible become filled with God’s character; we don’t have to focus on how to react because our thoughts, words, and actions come naturally, like those of Jesus. As Pastor John MacArthur stated, “Spiritual maturity is when your involuntary responses are godly.” We must train ourselves to be Christ-like by studying the Bible daily and filling up on His Truth so that HIS character becomes OURS. God gave us His Word so we can come out of the world and be who He’s called us to be.
