Sometimes, it’s not what we say that offends; it’s how we say it! As Christians, we must reach out and present the truth to those who don’t know Jesus and help them see that they must accept Christ’s salvation or face His wrath against sin. And we do it without judging or condemning—always remembering that we were lost before Jesus found us. When we speak harsh words, we become accusers and self-righteous in their eyes, pushing them FROM God. But when our words are passive and encouraging, they will see God’s love in us and be drawn TO Him.
