Every one of us serves a god. Either we belong to this evil world and are subject to its god’s wicked ways, or we serve the Almighty God of Heaven and follow His just ways through the Scriptures. When we accept Jesus as our Savior who died on the cross to redeem us to our Heavenly Father, we also receive Him as our Lord, THE Lord of lords, who defeated this world’s god at the cross. We have hope and peace during our problems because nothing is impossible for our Lord: He has overcome this world and prepared a new one for us!
