God gave fathers a mighty responsibility in raising their children. Besides providing for them physically, they’re to walk in God’s love and mercy and teach them to respect and obey their parents and those in authority. When fathers walk in integrity and justice and raise their children to follow the path of the Lord, though they may wander off it later, the children will come back because of the father. As head of the family, fathers have a lifelong commitment to God for their children because they stand in God’s place while in this world. A good father is blessed because it’s through him that his children will see God.
