Depression is a horrible torment, and many wonder if their lives even matter or if anyone would miss them if they were gone. Satan loves to steal our joy and destroy us, but we must take our eyes off the world and look to Jesus because He’s given us abundant life. God Created us in His image (Genesis 1:27), and when we realize that Jesus loves us so much that He died for our sins (John 3:16) and accept Him as our Savior, we’ll know how special we are! We are one of a kind, unique, and precious in God’s eyes. Don’t let this world get you down: look to Jesus, who will tell you the truth—you are special, and He has prepared a Home for you in eternity with Him!

Psalm 100:3—Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.

Psalm 139:13-14—You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.

1 Peter 2:9—You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Romans 5:8—God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Philippians 1:6—I [Paul] am confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Matthew 10:30—The very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Isaiah 43:1—But now thus says the Lord, He who created you, O Jacob, He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.”

Proverbs 18:24—There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Jesus is that Friend. He gave His life to save yours, and He will never leave you. So, if you’re feeling alone or sad, call out His name, feel His presence, and know you are loved!
