God is the epitome of love, yet He tells us not to love the things of the world. He didn’t say to not appreciate or enjoy the things of nature that HE created for our pleasure, but that as Christians, we must separate ourselves from the desires of this world’s corrupt system. When God’s love is in us, we do things that please Him, not the world, and we’re eternally blessed. Can you imagine getting to Heaven and seeing people there because of our prayers and labor? It will be unspeakable joy, and we’ll be eternally happy that we chose to be filled with His love, not the desire for worldly things.
